Job Summary:

Assist with cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting for the project

Support the preparation and review of tender documentation and subcontract packages
-
Analyse and compare subcontractor quotations and assist with procurement
-
Measure works and assist in preparing interim valuations and applications for payment
-
Monitor and track project costs against budget, highlighting variances
-
Assist in the management and valuation of variations and change control
-
Maintain accurate cost records, reports, and commercial documentation
-
Support cash flow forecasting and financial reporting
-
Work with site teams to monitor progress and identify potential cost risks
-
Assist with value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
-
Support contract administration, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions
-
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
-
Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts
Technical Competencies:
-
Have excellent communication (written and verbal), and organisational skills.
-
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
-
Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a construction, commercial or related discipline. A lower educational level combined with extensive experience in a similar role would meet this requirement.
-
Good understanding of EU and UK legislative requirements affecting procurement in particular responsible procurement.
-
Comprehensive experience in procurement on construction projects, good knowledge of the market.

Solid analytical skills.
