AJM Vehicle Services is a successful, family-run business based in Bathgate, West Lothian, with over 38 years’ experience providing specialist vehicle repair and fleet support services across Scotland.
Our purpose-built facility has grown significantly over the years and now includes a 12-bay workshop, supporting a wide range of commercial vehicle body repairs, vehicle maintenance, accident repairs, mobile repairs and vehicle recovery services.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and reliable Workshop & Yard Labourer to join our established team.

The Role
The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of our workshop and yard, helping ensure vehicles, equipment and the working environment are maintained to a high standard.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- General yard and workshop duties
- Pressure washing and valeting commercial vehicles, vans and cars
- Collecting and delivering customer vehicles
- Moving vehicles and equipment safely around the yard and workshop
- Receiving and checking parts and other deliveries
- Operating a counterbalance forklift
- Assisting workshop staff and other departments as required
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working environment
- Following company procedures and health & safety requirements
- Supporting the wider team to ensure vehicles are processed efficiently and customer requirements are met
About You

Experience & Skills
- Previous experience working within a vehicle workshop, garage or similar environment would be advantageous but is not essential
- Previous vehicle valeting experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Counterbalance forklift experience/licence would be advantageous
- A full clean UK driving licence is required
- Experience driving commercial vehicles would be an advantage
Training and support will be provided where required for the right candidate.
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 12:00pm when required
The role may require occasional additional hours or weekend working to meet customer requirements.
