A successful and high-achieving secondary school in Hampshire is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Head of Computer Science / Computing to lead a thriving department.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Computer Science / Computing department
- Strategic curriculum planning across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Deliver GCSE Computer Science and BTEC Digital Information Technology
- Monitor student progress, attainment, and achievement
- Line manage staff and support professional development
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning
- Promote digital literacy, computational thinking, and programming skills
- Contribute to whole-school leadership and school improvement planning
Person Specification
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Computer Science, Computing, or a related subject
- Proven excellent classroom practice
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Computer Science
- Strong subject knowledge (e.g. Python, algorithms, data representation, networks, cyber security)
- Ability to lead a team and raise attainment
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing
- Passion for STEM education and digital innovation
