Overview
We are seeking a dedicated CDP to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and possess a strong understanding of kitchen operations. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes serving our deli counter, dining terrace and our retail offering, according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in the organisation and mise en place of ingredients for service
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations throughout shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
- Support with inventory management and stock rotation as required
- Follow all food safety procedures diligently, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or catering setting
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices
- Experience in meal preparation and plating presentation is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Serving experience is beneficial but not essential; willingness to learn on the job is important
