Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality food, and maintain exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for hospitality. The Head Chef/Kitchen Manager will be instrumental in creating innovative menus, managing staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen assistants, to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation.
- Oversee all aspects of food production, from ingredient sourcing to final presentation, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Develop and implement innovative menus that align with the establishment’s branding and customer preferences.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Train staff on proper cooking techniques, food presentation, and safety procedures.
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to maintain smooth functioning and resolve any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and excellent customer experience.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Demonstrated ability in team management and leadership within a hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
- Experience in food production planning, menu development, and restaurant operations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead staff and liaise with suppliers and management.

Pay: £27,508.61-£38,000.00 per year
