The Role
As our experienced Roofer, you will be responsible for leading roofing projects from start to finish, supervising roofing operatives, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
You will work on a variety of domestic and residential projects including:
- Loft conversions
- Roof replacements
- Roofing repairs
- Flat roofing systems
- Pitched roofing systems
- Leadwork
- Velux roof window installations
- Guttering, fascias and soffits
- New-build and refurbishment projects
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair pitched and flat roofing systems.
- Carry out slating, tiling, leadwork and roofing repairs.
- Install Velux windows and associated roofing works.
- Organise materials, labour and daily site activities.
- Conduct roof inspections and diagnose defects and leaks.
- Ensure all work complies with Building Regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Liaise professionally with clients, suppliers and site management.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and site cleanliness.
- Mentor and develop apprentices.
- Complete projects on time and within budget.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' roofing experience.
- Proven experience leading roofing projects
- Strong knowledge of pitched and flat roofing systems.
- Experience with slating, tiling, leadwork, guttering and roofing repairs.
- Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work safely at height.
- Reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with loft conversion roofing works.
- Multi Trade
- Lead welding experience.
- Single-ply roofing certification.
- PASMA, IPAF or CSCS qualifications.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience managing multiple roofing projects simultaneously.
