The company is developing innovative platforms that combine AI, spatial data, and predictive analytics to solve complex real-world challenges.
One of its key strategic initiatives is the development of a national-scale census and spatial intelligence software system for Nigeria, designed to digitally replicate population distribution, infrastructure and land use patterns. This system will support government-level planning, data accuracy, and predictive decision-making.
Job overview:
The Landscape Architect will contribute to the design and development of a digital system that represents Nigeria’s physical environment, including settlements, infrastructure networks, land use patterns, and population distribution. This role requires strong knowledge of Nigeria’s built environment, regional development patterns, and infrastructure systems. You will help translate real-world spatial and environmental conditions into a structured digital model that supports national census operations and planning.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and structure spatial representations of Nigeria’s built environment, including urban, semi-urban, and rural areas
- Support the creation of a digital framework for census data integration and population distribution modelling
- Translate real-world geographic and architectural knowledge of Nigeria into accurate digital spatial systems
- Work with GIS and mapping data to ensure correct representation of regions, states, and local government areas
- Identify and reflect regional differences in settlement patterns, building types, and infrastructure development across Nigeria
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and GIS specialists to integrate spatial data into the application
- Validate model accuracy using real-world knowledge of Nigeria’s infrastructure and development conditions
Requirements:
- MArch (Master of Architecture) or equivalent postgraduate qualification required
- Strong knowledge of Nigeria’s infrastructure, settlement patterns, and built environment
- Understanding of urban and rural development across different regions of Nigeria
- Experience or strong interest in GIS, spatial mapping, or digital modelling systems
- Ability to interpret maps, satellite imagery, and spatial datasets
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of census systems, population distribution, or public planning data (advantageous)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with international DKLOUD teams based in India and Nigeria
- Software development and AI-related skills will be an added advantage but are not mandatory
Working Arrangement
- The role is primarily hybrid/flexible
- However, the successful candidate may be required to attend the office occasionally depending on project needs
Working Hours
- Standard working hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Must be flexible for occasional meetings across UK, India, and Nigeria time zones
