Jensen Bespoke designs, manufactures and installs high-end bespoke fitted furniture for residential projects across London and the surrounding counties. We are a growing, friendly company with a small team and are looking for an experienced self-employed Furniture Installer / Cabinet Maker to work with us on a regular basis.
The role will be primarily focused on the installation of bespoke fitted furniture and kitchens, with the opportunity to assist with manufacturing and assembly in our Waltham Abbey workshop when required.
We are looking for someone with at least 3 years experience installing bespoke fitted furniture, who can work to a high standard and is confident completing installations independently as well as working alongside our team.
As the majority of our installations take place in lived-in residential properties, applicants must be professional, presentable and respectful of clients’ homes. A high level of care, attention to detail and good communication skills are essential.
The role will include:
- Installing high-end bespoke fitted furniture, wardrobes, media units, cabinetry and kitchens
- Working from technical drawings and installation plans
- Setting out and fitting cabinetry accurately on site
- Scribing furniture to walls, floors and ceilings
- Fitting doors, drawers, panels, plinths, fillers and finishing details
- Adjusting and setting up hinges, drawer runners and other hardware
- Carrying out final snagging and ensuring installations are completed to a high standard
- Working carefully, cleanly and professionally within clients’ homes
- Travelling to installation sites throughout London and the surrounding counties
- Assisting with furniture manufacturing and assembly in our Waltham Abbey workshop when required
Required skills and experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience installing bespoke fitted furniture
- Strong fitting, scribing and finishing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Confident using routers, track saws, mitre saws and general hand and power tools
- Ability to problem-solve and make accurate adjustments on site
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Good communication skills and a professional manner
- Respectful, organised and tidy when working in clients’ homes
- Full UK driving licence
- Own hand and power tools preferred
Experience installing high-end residential joinery and bespoke kitchens is required to apply for this position.
