To provide maintenance services, in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager
Complete weekly and monthly audits , fire checks , healthy and safety checks, complete work that IS required in the home ,
To action both planned and reactive maintenance issues to priorities in terms of urgency
Location: Morton Manor care home , but you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice.
Working Hours: 40hours
Role Specific Duties:
The purpose of the role of maintenance person is to be a multi- skilled operative who will assist with the daily running of the home, by becoming an effective and involved member of the team, including carrying out various odd jobs such as performing repairs, maintaining property, plumbing, carrying out ground work as required.
To check the maintenance book daily and carry out all repairs etc as necessary.
To paint vacated rooms as requested, following the correct procedure.
To keep the gardens well maintained, cutting back plants, weeding the beds.
Keeping the outdoor areas well maintained.
Responsible for specific Health and safety duties with regard to safeguard systems including weekly checks on water temperature, weekly fire alarm checks, emergency lighting systems, and fire exits/fire fighting equipment.
providing out of hours emergencies.(when needed).
Previous experience needed.
Personal Responsibilities:
Take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews and undertake any relevant training
To maintain maintenance skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required in order to maintain up to date knowledge
