Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a comprehensive understanding of property maintenance, and the ability to lead a team effectively. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in project management, mechanical, electrical, and supervisory experience to contribute to the smooth running of our property portfolio. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring properties are well-maintained, tenants are satisfied, and operational standards are upheld.
Duties
- Oversee the management of multiple properties, ensuring compliance with legal and safety regulations
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs, including scheduling and supervising contractors
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify issues and ensure standards are maintained
- Manage tenant relations, including lease agreements, rent collection, and resolving complaints
- Prepare budgets and financial reports related to property operations
- Implement preventative maintenance programmes to minimise costly repairs
- Supervise a team of maintenance staff and contractors, providing leadership and guidance
- Utilise project management skills to plan upgrades or refurbishment projects efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of property conditions, repairs, and tenant communications
- Ensure all electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and mechanical components are functioning optimally
Skills
- Proven management and supervisory experience within property or facilities management
- Strong project management capabilities with organisational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in maintenance procedures and electrical systems
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and interpreting schematics
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and supervise teams effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to assess technical issues related to electrical or mechanical systems and coordinate appropriate solutions
- Knowledge of legal requirements pertaining to property management in the UK
