Goresbrook School is seeking a proactive and innovative IT Service Site Manager to lead our on‑site technical operations and support the next stage of our digital journey. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven IT professional to play a central role in delivering a modern, forward‑thinking digital learning environment for our staff and students.
About the Role:
We have recently implemented a new, ambitious Digital Strategy designed to enhance teaching, streamline operations, and transform the student learning experience. As part of this, all students in our Year 7 cohort now use iPads as part of everyday learning, with the programme set to expand across other year groups over time.
As the IT Service Site Manager, you will take ownership of day‑to‑day IT operations, ensuring our technology — from classroom devices to core infrastructure — runs smoothly, securely, and reliably. You will work closely with the central trust IT team to maintain high standards, deliver improvements, and embed digital confidence across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage daily IT support for staff and students
Oversee the smooth operation of our new digital strategy, including the Year 7 iPad scheme
Maintain and develop the school’s network, hardware, software, and cloud systems
Ensure all service requests are logged, prioritised, and resolved quickly and effectively
Collaborate with the trust‑wide IT team to deliver strategic upgrades and long‑term improvements
Manage IT assets, stock, procurement, and licensing
Provide training and support to staff on digital tools, classroom technology, and safe usage
Uphold safeguarding, data protection, and cyber security standards
We're looking for someone who:
Has strong technical knowledge across Windows, network management, cloud services, and mobile device management (MDM)
Is experienced in supporting 1:1 device schemes or keen to lead in this area
Brings a customer‑focused, solutions‑driven approach
Communicates clearly and confidently with staff and students
Enjoys working independently, taking initiative, and driving continuous improvement
Is excited to support a school that is rapidly advancing its digital capabilities
Why join Goresbrook School?
Be part of a school at the forefront of digital transformation
Play a key role in shaping and expanding our iPad‑based learning model
Friendly, ambitious staff team and supportive trust-wide IT network
Excellent opportunities for professional development
A role where you can directly influence the quality of learning and teaching every day
