Job Overview
About Us
Oriel Ospie is a conservation art gallery based in the beautiful Betws-y-Coed Railway Station. We have a focus on sustainable artwork and textile patterns created by local artist Jacha Potgieter, alongside carefully sourced goods from a range of countries and a handful of local creators. We are looking for a shop assistant to work alongside our dedicated team to assist with sales, stock levels and general cleanliness. Oriel Ospie is in a busy location in the centre of Betws-y-Coed with a high visitor population, so vigilance and attention to detail is required.
Here at Oriel Ospie, and the Betws-y-Coed Railway Station, we have a passion for conservation. We raise money and awareness for multiple endangered species, with a particular focus on Great Apes and Pangolins, so our ideal candidate would be someone that matches our passion for helping animals. In 2025, we raised a total of £87,500 in combination with the Hangin’ Pizzeria for our chosen charities, and in the next few years we hope to build and build on this total so that we can help as many endangered species in the wild as possible.
We work alongside the Hangin’ Pizzeria and Alpine Apartments to spread the message of conservation while also delivering a high standard of customer service and a product with high quality. We also encourage recycling, reduction of single use plastic use, and palm oil free products - anything we can do to reduce our impact on the environment!
