We are seeking a dedicated and professional individual to fulfil the dual role of Tailor and Receptionist. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine specialised tailoring skills with front-of-house responsibilities, ensuring exceptional customer service and high-quality garment alterations. The successful candidate will be organised, personable, and possess a keen eye for detail, contributing to a welcoming environment for clients while delivering precise tailoring services.
Responsibilities
- Providing customised tailoring and alteration services to clients, including fitting, hemming, and adjustments
- Managing the reception area by greeting visitors courteously and professionally
- Handling client appointments, scheduling fittings, and managing walk-in enquiries efficiently
- Taking accurate measurements and advising clients on suitable tailoring options
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are well-maintained
- Processing payments and managing client records with confidentiality and accuracy
- Assisting with stock management of fabrics, threads, and other tailoring supplies
- Responding promptly to phone calls, emails, and other correspondence related to appointments or enquiries
Skills
- Proven experience as a tailor or seamstress with excellent craftsmanship skills
- Strong organisational abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective client interaction
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for appointment scheduling and record keeping
- Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards customer service
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay: £70.00-£251.90 per day
