Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team at the UKs market leading FM company. Reporting to the Line Manager, you will be delivering Grounds Maintenance and Winter Services and ensuring you deliver the exceptional every day.
You will be responsible for
- Maintaining our clients' sites. Grass cutting, hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearance and spraying.
- Delivering our winter services on a on - call rota basis, including gritting and any additional General Winter Maintenance, this is a compulsory retirement.
- Providing management with relevant information and reporting as required, including reporting any site hazards.
- Operating all vehicles, machinery and equipment in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Undertaking any training as and when required.
- Required to work in High Security Ares and Separation.
What we are looking for
Essential
- A passion for working outdoors.
- Prepared to work in an agile and flexible working environment (Winter working).
- A good understanding of smartphone technology.
- Grounds Maintenance and Gritting experience
- PA1, PA6, PA2 Boom and Kerb spraying licence including using quad (ATV), PA6AW Hand injecting of invasive weeds
- Full Manual UK driving licence.
- CSCS + IOSH Working Safely / Equivalent.
- Access to C2-R2 Areas.
- Ropes and Harness and IPAF HA, HU.
- Building Controller.
- First Aid Training +F
- Tractor & Loader
- Towing Trailer
- Ground Based Chainsaw including Maintenance & Cross Cutting.
- Safe Use of Manually Fed Woodchipper.
