HR Advisor
Location: St Albans/Watford, Hertfordshire
Salary: £34,198 - £36,649 per annum (FTE)
Hours: Flexible (minimum of 30 hours per week)
Contract: Flexible (will consider Permanent, Fixed Term or Secondment)
Are you looking to begin your HR career in a broad and challenging HR Advisory role?
We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our HR & OD shared service team taking on the end-to-end recruitment process, supporting HR Business Partners with casework and providing general HR advice across St Albans City & District Council and Watford Borough Council. You will be providing the service for St Albans City & District Council, but we have embraced agile working and are flexible with where people work, including home for some of the time.
Your key responsibilities:
- Managing the end-to-end recruitment process from advertising to production of offer letters, contracts of employment and completing pre-employment checks
- Monitor, track and report on recruitment data and activity.
- Provide accurate and professional first line advice on a range of employee issues, escalating more complex enquiries to senior colleagues where appropriate.
- Supporting HR Business Partners with case work
- Update HR policies and procedures as required in line with employment law and good practice
- Supporting the Health & Wellbeing initiatives and other key HR projects
You will need:
- Experience of working as part of a team, communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Experience of managing the end-to-end recruitment process
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
- Excellent relationship building skills
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
