- Support vehicle buying and underwriting across the business, including sourcing stock, conducting appraisals, negotiating valuations, providing pricing and part-exchange support.
- Maintain strong relationships with external suppliers, private sellers and logistics partners. Managing communication throughout the purchase journey to ensure a smooth and professional customer experience, escalating unresolved issues where required to maintain service standards.
- Monitor market and competitor trends, support daily and weekly pricing reviews using central tools, make ad hoc pricing adjustments where required.
- Ensure all purchase documentation is completed accurately and on time, track vehicles through logistics, and support the smooth flow of vehicles into stock.
- Produce regular and ad hoc buying, pricing, and performance reports, share insights on trends and supplier performance, and contribute to continuous improvement by identifying issues, inefficiencies, and best practice across the operation.
- Flexible to support occasional evening and weekend contact with sellers or pricing activity when required.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as a Used Vehicle Buyer or in motor trade sales is paramount.
- Strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and confidence working with data and spreadsheets are desirable.
- Negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and suppliers are desirable.
Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
