Apricus Resourcing are working with a leading charitable organisation who are looking for a Counsellor for a permanent post based within a service in Bournemouth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who holds a Level 4 counselling qualification. Your role will work heavily in supporting clients who are suffering with alcohol and drug addiction.
As a Counsellor in this team you will work closely with support workers and other members of the team to deliver safe, person-centred and recovery-focused support.
Key Duties will include:
- Providing individual counselling and structured therapeutic support to clients.
- Supporting the delivery of group sessions, workshops and recovery activities.
- Helping clients explore behaviours, emotions and experiences linked to addiction.
- Maintaining clear, accurate and confidential client records.
- Contributing to individual care plans, risk assessments and treatment reviews.
The team manager is looking for dedicated candidates who are have at least a L4 qualification in counselling. Ideally you will have or will be working towards a NCPS or BACP Registration, however this is not essential.
You will also need to have access to your own car and have a full UK drivers license.
Previous experience within addiction treatment, 12 step recovery such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, mental health, residential care or a similar setting would be advantageous. However, this is not essential as support and guidance can be offered in this area.

Pay: £29,000.00-£30,800.00 per year
