To support our continued growth plans, we are recruiting additional Warehouse Operatives to join our Warehouse team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
About the Role
This role is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse while ensuring product quality is maintained from production through to customer despatch.
You will work closely with Engineering Support, Unit Leaders and the Manufacturing Manager – Finished Goods & Dispatch to ensure warehouse activities run safely, efficiently and in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Counterbalance FLT safely and effectively
- Complete daily FLT checks and report any faults or failures
- Ensure stock rotation complies with site standards
- Report all product or packaging damages
- Carry out pre-loading vehicle inspections
- Ensure vehicles are loaded accurately and without damage
- Maintain effective communication with hauliers, management and internal teams
- Follow site escalation procedures for operational issues or non-compliance
- Ensure all visitors and contractors follow site HSE procedures
- Ensure all products are despatched with the correct documentation
- Support compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures at all times
- Take reasonable care for your own health & safety and that of others
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse experience essential
- Experience within FMCG or high-speed manufacturing environments essential
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence essential
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
- Knowledge of warehouse HSE processes and legislation essential
- HACCP, ISO and COSHH knowledge desirable
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Positive attitude with willingness to learn and develop
Working Hours
This role operates on a rotating weekly shift pattern:
Week 1
05:45 – 14:00
(15-minute paid break + 30-minute unpaid break)
Week 2
07:30 – 15:45
(15-minute paid break + 30-minute unpaid break)
Week 3
08:00 – 16:15
(15-minute paid break + 30-minute unpaid break)
Week 4
14:00 – 22:15
(15-minute paid break + 30-minute unpaid break)
Currently operating temporarily as 09:30 – 17:45

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 GCSEs grade A–C (5–9) or equivalent practical ability to interpret technical information
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence
- Full UK Driving Licence
