Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our cafe team as a cook. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation and ensuring food safety in our kitchen. If you have a culinary background and enjoy working in a fast-paced cafe environment, we would love to hear from you.
Our drop zone cafe provides a breakfast through to lunch service. You will be preparing both hot and cold dishes, working both alone and with other members of the cafe team.
Duties:
- Preparation and serving of beverages and snacks including breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers etc.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
-Keep control of food costs , stock rotation, and replenishment
-Communicate clearly with the team and colleagues. Must also be able to work on your own and without supervision
-Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations to help guarantee the safety of yourself and the team and visitors
What we are looking for?
-Must have previous experience in a similar catering role. Ideally with a Food Safety Level 2 or above. You must be able to manage a busy service as well as managing assistance when required.
-We are looking for a self motivated, proactive and organised individual who is able to work well within a team also.
-Due to our rural location and no nearby transport links, we are ideally looking for someone with a full UK driving licence and their own transport.
