SFX Trade is a well-established company based in Waterlooville industrial estate which supplies high quality UPVC windows, conservatory roofs, doors, trims, cladding and fixings etc. to the trade and public.
We are now looking for a new, full time staff member to join our small, friendly team at our Trade Counter.
The Role
The role of a Trade Counter Assistant is a busy and varied role. It can also be physically demanding at times. The description below provides a general outline of the job but is not exhaustive.
- Assisting customers over the phone, face to face and email
- Deliveries inwards – safely unloading deliveries (some heavy lifting required)
- Deliveries outwards – delivering orders to customers, loading the van and preparing delivery paperwork
- Managing stock levels and ordering stock as and when necessary
- Processing and managing quotations and orders for Trade Counter products
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers
- General administration work
- Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the trade counter
- Cleaning and tidying
Hours
This is a full-time role. Hours worked will be 7.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
We shut down for Christmas and for a long weekend at Easter. We do not open on bank holidays.
The Ideal Person
Essential Skills:
- Full, clean driving license to provide cover for local deliveries
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Confident telephone manner and good IT skills
- Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Fast learner with a desire to develop own knowledge
- Confident, enthusiastic, good sense of humour
- Ability to work alone or as part of a small team
- Able to use your own initiative
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Punctual, reliable and polite
Desirable Skills:
- Category C1 license to drive a 7.5T vehicle
- Knowledge of the window industry
- Experience in a similar field
- Experience of placing orders and monitoring stock levels

Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
