We specialise in supporting young people with multiple and complex needs, including those on the Autism Spectrum, with mental health issues, learning differences, ex-offenders, Care leaver and young people at risk of homelessness. We work in a trauma informed and strengths based way, a passion for supporting young people with additional needs, a high level of personal resilience and self awareness is a must for this role.
The role of the Employability Trainer and Programme Manager is to
- Build strong professional relationships with a wide variety of referring agencies, in order to obtain referrals to the programme and drive widespread awareness of the programme.
- Using risk assessments obtained from the referring agency make a decision on the suitability of candidates to attend the programme against clearly defined criteria.
- Build an appropriate professional relationship with candidates through effective communication and following a set procedure to build rapport, confirm the candidate’s commitment and ensure attendance.
- Organise and manage the delivery of the programme, including:
-- Resources e.g schedules, venues and materials to ensure the programme runs smoothly, to time and budget.
-- Deliver the programme’s registration, trainee risk assessment, induction, employability and personal and social development training and work experience sessions over a ten week programme.
-- Assess BTEC Work Skills folder work and use this as a coaching tool to support young people with complex needs to build their skills and achieve their ambitions.
–- Ensure that a quality service is being delivered, meeting the expectational and financial measures.
- Manage the Counsellor, Internal Verifier, work experience buddy relationships to ensure the programme is delivered effectively, candidates are fully supported and to be accountable for excellent training and employment opportunities, to identify issues and provide support for staff development and process improvement to ensure progress against individual and team targets and to drive programme improvement.
- Prepare monthly written reports on programme activity for submission to CEO and outside funding bodies.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date candidate and financial records as required, to comply with funding requirements and Company procedures.
