Deputy Housekeeping Manager

Situated in a stunning historic mansion with breathtaking views of the Peak District National Park, Shrigley Hall offers a unique blend of luxury and charm. As Deputy Housekeeping Manager, you’ll oversee a dedicated team, ensuring that every guest experience is nothing short of exceptional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and company regulations, including health & safety, hygiene, employee conduct, fire safety procedures, and premises security.
- Oversee the cleanliness of all public areas and guest bedrooms.
- Work closely with the Head Housekeeper to supervise, train, and develop the housekeeping team, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Manage the smooth operation of the Linen Room, ensuring efficient stock handling and distribution.
- In the absence of the Head Housekeeper, manage staffing rotas and ensure payroll hours are accurately completed in line with Amaze Payroll policy.
- Collaborate with HR on recruitment, disciplinary matters, and staff performance issues.
- Ensure all staff receive proper training and ongoing retraining to uphold the company’s cleanliness standards.
- Maintain regular communication with the Maintenance Department regarding room upkeep and repairs.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in line with business needs.
- Oversee the procurement and management of cleaning supplies, ensuring stock levels meet requirements while controlling expenditure within budget.
- In the absence of the Head Housekeeper, manage all contract cleaning tasks, including carpet and window cleaning.
- Foster strong communication between the Housekeeping and Reception teams to minimise guest disruptions.
- Maintain a high standard of quality control through room inspections and proper delegation of tasks to supervisors and room attendants.
- Ensure all Housekeeping storage areas are neat, organized, and fully stocked.
- Comply with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations and ensure staff adhere to these safety guidelines.
- Uphold and maintain company image standards, ensuring that all areas are aligned with our brand’s expectations.
