Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of site activities, ensuring that all project works are completed safely, efficiently, to the required quality standards, and within agreed timescales. As a hands-on supervisor, the role combines site supervision duties with practical involvement in the delivery of works within their primary trade discipline.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate site operatives, subcontractors, and engineers on a day-to-day basis
- Carry out on-site works to assist with the progress of the project
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation, company policies, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Promote a positive safety culture and immediately address any unsafe acts, conditions, or behaviours on site
- Conduct site safety briefings, toolbox talks, and daily task briefings as required
- Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure works are completed to the required specifications and standards
- Assist in carrying out carpentry, acting as a working supervisor and leading by example.
- Plan, organise, and monitor labour resources to ensure works progress efficiently and meet programme requirements
- Liaise regularly with the Site Manager and Project Manager, providing updates on progress, issues, resource requirements, and programme risks
- Arrange, coordinate, and monitor the delivery of materials, plant, and equipment required for project activities
- Ensure materials are available when needed and stored safely and securely on site
- Maintain effective communication with clients, residents, and other stakeholders, representing the company in a professional manner at all times
- Attend site meetings as required and communicate key information to the project team
- Monitor project progress against programme milestones and take proactive measures to mitigate delays
- Ensure all works are completed within agreed deadlines and budget constraints
- Complete and maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, site diaries, attendance records, and health and safety documentation
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and quality concerns promptly and in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the site
- Support the Site Manager and Project Manager in achieving successful project delivery and client satisfaction
- Identify and escalate any technical, safety, quality, or programme-related issues that may impact project delivery
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
