Are you passionate about the outdoors and inspiring children to feel a connection with nature? Then the role of Outdoor Instructor may be for you!
As an Outdoor Instructor, you will be an experienced educator skilled in leading a range of activities from Bushcraft to Archery, to provide unforgettable adventures at Celtic Harmony Camp, England’s largest Iron Age settlement located in 13 acres of woodland. The primary role of this post is to lead activities from friction fire lighting to orienteering in a safe and engaging manner, improving wellbeing and topic engagement of participating schools, families and adult visitors.
Celtic Harmony Camp is an award-winning venue, with its thatched roundhouses and native woodland. For twenty seven years, children and visitors have been rediscovering the natural world and traditions of life in ancient Britain through creative hands-on activities and outdoor activities that engage the imagination and improve well-being. Our active visitor experiences are designed to bring people together, creating a sense of belonging to our local natural and cultural heritage and building confidence through new skills and the visual results of practical work. We hold the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge for high quality outdoor experiences, as a safe and stimulating setting aiming to improve wellbeing and resilience.
The Outdoor Instructor provides engaging Prehistory experiences, dressed in costume, assists with food service in the Bistro, site maintenance and communication.
