PART TIME MAINTENANCE PERSON REQUIRED FOR CARE HOME
Rate of pay: £14.42weekday - £14.92 Per Hour weekend
PartTime: 3 days in Week including alternative Weekends
Time : 9.00am - 5.00pm
Location: Haslemere
We are looking to recruit a Part-time Maintenance Person for our care home in Haslemere, Surrey.
You will take responsibility for the maintenance of the building and equipment, keeping it in a good state of repair; maintain/or arrange for statutory checks and P.A.T. testing as per the regulatory requirements, in line with the current legislation and following Health & Safety, Security and Fire Safety Guidelines.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required depending on the home’s requirements, and you will be on-call for emergencies.
Your main duties will include:
- Fire alarm testing and recording.
- Call bell unit checks and recording.
- Fire extinguisher checks.
- Painting and decorating where required.
- Read maintenance book each day on arrival and carry out urgent jobs immediately.
- To undertake repairs if within your competency otherwise arrange for these through the Company’s Estate Manager
- Report accidents, injuries, dangerous occurrences, near misses, hazards and risks to your manager/person-in-charge whose responsibility it is to act upon such information to reduce the risk of accidents/incidents.
- To ensure adherence to Health and Safety guidelines and maintain safe environments and working practices.
*****A full manual driving licence is essential*****
