Role Overview
Pristine Community Care LTD is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to support the registration, development and safe operation of a new domiciliary care service.
The successful candidate will lead the service through its early development, establish effective governance systems and ensure that care is safe, person-centred and compliant with CQC requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Registered Manager will:
- Act as the Registered Manager for one CQC location.
- Prepare the service for CQC registration, interviews and inspections.
- Maintain compliance with the CQC Fundamental Standards and relevant adult social care legislation.
- Oversee assessments, care plans, risk assessments and service-user reviews.
- Manage safeguarding concerns, complaints, incidents, investigations and statutory notifications.
- Lead recruitment, induction, training, supervision, appraisal and performance management.
- Monitor staffing levels, rotas, continuity of care and community service delivery.
- Implement audits covering care plans, medicines, staff files, record keeping and quality assurance.
- Work closely with the Provider and Nominated Individual.
- Participate in shared on-call and emergency cover arrangements.
- Support business development, tender applications and commissioner relationships.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Previous experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
- At least one to two years’ management experience within adult social care.
- Experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Service Manager within domiciliary care.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, medicines management and quality assurance.
- Experience preparing for CQC inspections, interviews or registration processes.
- Experience conducting audits, investigations, supervisions, appraisals and staff observations.
- Strong leadership, communication and service-development skills.
- Full right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not available.
- A full UK driving licence.
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or an equivalent qualification, is strongly preferred.
Business Development Experience
The ideal candidate will also have experience in:
- Local authority tenders and framework applications.
- Securing care packages, placements or contracts.
- Commissioner, brokerage and referral pathways.
- Building relationships with local authorities, healthcare professionals and private clients.
- Developing or growing a new domiciliary care service.
Package
- Salary of £45,000–£50,000 per year.
