SRM industries, a leading manufacturing of rubber mouldings with a large prestigious client base, are looking for a Warehouse Operative - Despatch and Goods Receipt to join their dynamic Quality Department.

Purpose of the Role
To ensure the safe, accurate and timely movement of materials, components, and finished goods across all areas of SRM Industries. The role involves operating a fork‑lift truck, following despatch codes and instructions, supporting general warehouse operations, and providing ad‑hoc assistance within the Gaskets/Other Department when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a fork‑lift truck safely and in line with company procedures and training requirements.
- Collect, move, and deliver materials to designated areas across the business.
- Follow despatch codes, job sheets, and verbal instructions accurately.
- Complete all required documentation for material movements, stock transfers, and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment within the despatch and warehouse areas.
- Assist with general warehouse duties including loading/unloading, stock rotation, packing, and labelling.
- Provide support to the Other Department on an ad‑hoc basis.
- Report any stock discrepancies, damage, or safety concerns immediately.
- Work collaboratively with production, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
Essential Requirements
- Valid fork‑lift truck licence
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to follow written instructions, despatch codes, and verbal direction accurately.
- Good level of physical fitness to carry out manual handling tasks.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in a despatch, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting multiple departments.
- Knowledge of stock control or ERP systems.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full on the job training will be provided.
Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday - Days - hours to be confirmed
