Location: West Dunbartonshire / East Dunbartonshire (Clydebank, Bearsden, Milngavie, and surrounding areas)
Salary: £27,000 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, includes on-call rota
About the Role
As a Care Team Lead, you'll combine hands-on care delivery with operational leadership. You'll spend around half your time out in the community providing direct care, and the rest of your time supporting your team, monitoring compliance, and driving quality improvement across the service. This is a hybrid role for someone who wants to stay connected to frontline care while stepping into leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
About Us
Alltogether Care Services is a Scottish domiciliary care provider dedicated to delivering excellent, person-centred care to service users across West and East Dunbartonshire. We're looking for a motivated Care Team Lead to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of care while supporting and developing our care professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Care & Leadership
- Deliver direct care and support to service users (approx. 50% of working hours)
- Participate in the company on-call rota
- Lead by example, modelling excellent person-centred care standards
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all monthly compliance tasks (spot checks, supervisions, competency assessments, medication observations, training compliance, dress code checks) are completed on time
- Distribute compliance responsibilities between yourself and Care Pro Leads, and follow up on outstanding actions
- Monitor visit notes for accuracy and person-centred detail, addressing poor documentation and escalating safeguarding, deterioration, medication, or care-need concerns
Scheduling & Systems
- Monitor People Planner daily, checking booking on/off compliance and resolving exceptions, missed bookings, and late calls
Onboarding & Staff Support
- Work with HR on new starter onboarding: introductions, shadowing shifts, competency sign-off, and confirming readiness for lone working
- Complete weekly check-ins with new starters up to their 8-week review, keeping accurate records
- Carry out monthly wellbeing calls with care professionals, identifying burnout risks and signposting support
Service User Care
- Ensure high-quality onboarding for new service users, with accurate, person-centred care plans and risk assessments reviewed within 3 months (or sooner if needs change), including a minimum of 3 onboarding check-ins
- Maintain the Service User Wellbeing Tracker, recording concerns and changes promptly and escalating significant issues
Quality Assurance
- Work collaboratively with Care Pro Leads and Care Professionals to promote company values and continuous improvement
- Address performance concerns constructively and supportively
What We're Looking For
- Experience in domiciliary or community care, ideally in a supervisory or lead role
- Strong organisational skills and confidence using care management/scheduling systems
- A genuine commitment to person-centred care and safeguarding best practice
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to support, motivate, and develop a team
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (car allowance/mileage provided)
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
Why Join Us
- A supportive, values-driven care team
- Genuine career development opportunities
- Ongoing training and supervision
- The chance to make a real difference in your local community
