Job Overview
Wotton House International School is seeking a highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented Operations and Compliance Manager to oversee the school's operational, compliance and information management systems.
This is a pivotal role within our leadership structure, ensuring that the school's administrative, regulatory and operational processes are efficient, compliant and well managed. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Directors and senior leadership team, taking ownership of the systems that support the day-to-day running of the school.
The role also has responsibility for the quality, integrity and effective use of school data, supporting statutory returns, inspection readiness, operational decision-making and the efficient delivery of services across the school.
Duties
- Coordinate the school's operational, compliance and administrative systems.
- Maintain compliance calendars, policies, records and inspection evidence.
- Support safeguarding administration, including the maintenance of the Single Central Record.
- Coordinate health and safety administration, risk assessments and premises compliance.
- Co-manage the school's Management Information System (MIS), ensuring accurate pupil and staff records.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns and regulatory information.
- Produce accurate management information and operational reports to support school leadership.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, data protection legislation and secure information management practices.
- Support admissions administration, examinations, access arrangements and pupil record systems.
- Coordinate school trips, events, contractors and operational projects.
- Prepare documentation for inspections, regulatory visits and external reviews.
- Review and improve operational procedures to increase efficiency, resilience and compliance.
- Support HR administration, training records and personnel documentation.
Skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience using Management Information Systems (MIS) such as Arbor, Bromcom, iSAMS or SIMS.
- Ability to analyse, manage and present school data accurately.
- Understanding of GDPR, confidentiality, safeguarding and the lawful handling of sensitive information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work independently.
- Confidence working with senior leaders, parents, staff and external agencies.
- Experience within a school or other regulated environment is desirable.
- Experience preparing statutory returns, inspection evidence or compliance documentation would be advantageous.
Pay: £35,000.00-£48,500.00 per year
