Team leader (lead operative)
We are looking for a team leader to act as site supervisor within a small team. We are looking for someone who is outstanding team player, with a positive and professional attitude to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in undertaking practical site-based works whilst organising a small team and will have experience in adhering to site health and safety. We are looking for individuals to be based within commuting distance of our base in Merton, Norfolk. You will be at times required to work away during the week depending on the project location.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for working outdoors in environmentally sensitive areas. You will receive ongoing training and development in all aspects of the operational tasks and have a great opportunity for continued progression.
The role
As a team leader, you will be delivering a variety projects with the responsibility of leading a small team communicating day-to-day requirements for the site with management and clients.
Performance measures
- Supports the Project Manager with the delivery of the works project.
- Effective day-to-day management of site personnel for successful project delivery.
- Effective communication with site team.
- Responsible for completing and submitting all daily records for site.
- Ensures that Health and safety always maintain compliance to laws & regualtions.
- Manages all site resources and materials.
- Ensures that people under their line management are managed correctly.
Person specification
- SSSTS
- Excavator/Dumper tickets (Desired but not essential)
- First aid certificate (Desired but not essential)
- Full driving license
- Physically fit and motivated
- Prepared to stay away Monday to Friday (when necessary)
- Promoting Health, Safety and Wellbeing within the company
- Strong interpersonal, communication and Organisational skills
- A positive can-do attitude

- Salary- Up to £40,000 per annum (DOE)
