Mr & Mr Child is the number one boutique estate agent for unique homes in Yorkshire. We are not like other estate agents; we’re ‘Quintessentially Different’, we embrace change and are constantly challenging tradition because we have a strong desire to improve the way our industry operates.
We are committed to delivering world-class estate agency, and we can only do this with the best people on board. Following the incredible success of Mr & Mr Child, we have recently launched our exciting new sister company, Child & Co Estates.
With two dynamic brands now operating under our roof, we have an opportunity for an Office Administrator/Receptionist to join us and work across both companies. We’d love to find someone who’s naturally organised, with great attention to detail and high standards—particularly when it comes to systems, procedures, and the first impressions of both our team and our office.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be responsible for the fundamentals of the office; the basics that are vital to get right. You will be supporting the team across both Mr & Mr Child and Child & Co Estates, helping them with their admin and calls, whilst ensuring standards and procedures are being met and exceeded.
Every day will be different but will include answering the phone, replying to emails, managing your own projects, and doing some basic accounting. You will be responsible for arranging viewing requests, helping with diary management, organising key handovers, and booking in photoshoots for both brands.
Your management of the office will include ordering stationery, making sure we never run out of stamps, making sure that all office equipment is working correctly, and taking responsibility for first impressions on entering the office.
This role is all about making sure that our office is consistently operating at a world-class level, that workloads are effectively managed, and is ultimately responsible for maintaining the company culture and values via the team.
Training is provided and no experience in the industry is required.
Skills
Ideally you’ll have:
- A keen eye for detail
- Embarrassingly good organisational skills
- A track record of running a busy office, with multiple people and tasks
- The ability to act as cool as a cucumber in a crisis
- Passion and enthusiasm about team wins and happiness
- A love for a completed to-do list
- A muck-in, can-do, get-it-done mentality
What you’ll get from the role:
- An opportunity to be part of an innovative and exciting new market disruptor (and help us scale our newly launched sister brand!)
- The ability to shape the future direction of both Mr & Mr Child and Child & Co Estates
- Be at the cutting edge of the business, giving you the best view of how the business operates
- A role that’s varied and challenging; no day is the same
- The satisfaction of providing the best
- An opportunity to develop your management and project management skills.
In return for everything you can bring, we can offer you an exciting, challenging role in a fast-growing and dynamic business.
If you think you’ve got everything we’re looking for (and then some) we’d love to hear from you.
