Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker/Chef to join our Cafe Team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for making our bagels on site (You will be taught how to make bagels if you dont know how to), ordering food from suppliers, Updating our menu regularly. Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking for daily service, ensuring all dishes meet high standards of taste and presentation
- Follow recipes and food safety guidelines meticulously to maintain quality and hygiene standards
- Manage kitchen stations efficiently, ensuring smooth workflow during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces, adhering to sanitation protocols
- Support inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of supply needs
- Collaborate with team members to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, baking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to prepare ingredients accurately and cook dishes to specification
- Excellent kitchen experience with familiarity in various cooking techniques
- Passion for baking, food preparation, and creating visually appealing dishes
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
