Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our team with an immediate start. This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting administrative functions within our organisation. The successful candidate will possess strong bookkeeping skills, experience with Sage 50, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable
- Process invoices, payments, using recognised accounting software such as Sage
- Process Bank Reconcilliations and VAT Returns
- Payroll processing of monthly wages, PAYE, NI and Nest
- Prepare financial reports
- Assist with year-end procedures and liaising with accountant as required
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage is essential
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are desirable but not essential
Pay: £18,900.00-£22,000.00 per year
