Labourer - Welding and Fabrication Workshop
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our Welding and Fabrication Workshop. This hands-on role involves supporting fabrication and welding activities, carrying out general workshop duties, and helping to maintain a safe and organised working environment. It's a great opportunity for someone who is keen to develop practical skills and gain experience in a busy manufacturing setting producing high-quality metal products.
Responsibilities
- Grinding and finishing welded components
- Operating the shot blast machine
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials around the workshop
- Assisting welders and fabricators as required
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Follow safety protocols during all workshop activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
What we're looking for
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to carry out manual handling and physical workshop duties
- Previous workshop, manufacturing, or engineering experience is beneficial but not essential
- Forklift licence is desirable but not essential
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to reliably travel to and from the workplace each day and arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
- This role provides valuable practical experience in welding and fabrication processes within a supportive team environment, ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in metalwork industries.
Pay: £12.21-£13.71 per hour
