AV Installation Engineer
Location: Newcastle
Rate: £250 per day

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated AV Installation Engineer to join our growing team.
You will be responsible for installing, configuring and testing professional audio-visual systems across a range of commercial and residential projects. You will work both independently and as part of a wider installation team, ensuring every project is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure professional AV equipment and systems
- Install displays, projectors, speakers, amplifiers, control systems and associated equipment
- Carry out cable installation, termination and testing
- Configure and test AV and control systems
- Troubleshoot technical issues during installation
- Read and interpret system drawings and schematics
- Work safely and maintain high installation standards
- Liaise professionally with clients and other contractors on site
- Complete installation paperwork and handover documentation
- Travel to customer sites as required
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in professional AV installation
- Confident working with audio, video, control and networking equipment
- Comfortable terminating and testing cables
- Able to read technical drawings and schematics
- A good problem solver with strong attention to detail
- Professional and confident when dealing with customers
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, organised and willing to travel when required
- Full UK driving licence preferred
Experience with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Dante, Shure, Sennheiser, Kramer, Lutron or similar AV/control technologies would be advantageous.
