Room Leader – Sherwood Green Nursery

At Sherwood Green Nursery, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Pre-School Room Leader to join our growing team. What We’re Looking ForQualifications & Experience
- A full and relevant childcare qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or above
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a room or leading a team within a nursery setting
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- A current Paediatric First Aid qualification
- A management qualification is desirable but not essential
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the daily running of the Pre-School room
- Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Oversee planning, observations, assessments, and record keeping
- Create a stimulating, nurturing, and enabling learning environment
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and families
- Support and mentor practitioners within the room
- Maintain professional relationships with Local Authorities and outside agencies
- Keep up to date with current childcare legislation, policies, and best practice
- Support the Nursery Manager with nursery operations and management tasks
- Assist with staff meetings, parent meetings, events, and training sessions
