Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team for night shift. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their homes or care facilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, maintaining care plans, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help others. Have obtained or working towards a SVQ2 position. Excellent English skills with personality to have a good chat with residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and overall health.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual's requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Uphold the dignity and respect of all clients while promoting independence.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is advantageous.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when necessary.
- A caring attitude, patience, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential qualities for success in this role.
