£29,000 | Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
The warehouse floor runs on movement. You're the one who makes sure it all adds up.
We're looking for a sharp, organised Warehouse Operations Administrator to be the information hub of our DC1A site — keeping stock records accurate, documentation flowing, and drivers, customers and colleagues all in the right place at the right time. No two hours look the same: one minute you're booking in a driver at the front desk, the next you're chasing a missing POD or pulling together the day's KPIs for management.
If you're the kind of person who spots an error before it becomes a problem, and who customers and drivers alike find easy to deal with, this is your role.
What you'll do:
-
Process WMS transactions accurately — receipts, put-away, adjustments and dispatches — keeping stock records real-time and reliable
-
Manage inbound and outbound paperwork: booking in deliveries, checking against orders/ASNs, producing dispatch notes, CMRs and loading paperwork
-
Be the first point of contact for drivers arriving on site — booking them in, checking documentation and directing them safely to the right bay
-
Manage PODs from filing through to chasing outstanding ones and resolving delivery queries
-
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, escalating where needed
-
Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports and KPIs for management and customers
-
Handle customer queries, order amendments and information requests professionally and promptly
-
Coordinate delivery/collection bookings and support yard and transport scheduling
-
Keep physical and electronic filing audit-ready and compliant
What you'll bring:
-
Strong administrative experience, ideally in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
-
Confident using WMS systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
-
A meticulous eye for detail and accuracy under pressure
-
A clear, professional communication style — comfortable dealing with drivers, customers and colleagues at all levels
-
The ability to juggle competing priorities and stay calm when the pace picks up
-
An understanding of stock rotation principles (FIFO/FEFO) and traceability requirements is a plus
-
Experience supporting BRCGS or food-safety compliance is desirable
Why join us?
-
A varied role at the centre of site operations — never a dull moment
-
Monday to Friday hours, no weekend working
-
A supportive team where your accuracy and reliability are genuinely valued
-
Room to grow — opportunities to mentor junior admin staff and develop your skills further
