Production Operator / Extrusion Technician – Plastics & Glass Fibre Recycling

We are a growing, fast-paced recycling start-up working with glass fibre and plastics, looking for a reliable, mechanically minded Production Operator to join our small, hands-on team. This is a practical, physically demanding role suited to someone who is comfortable working with machinery in an industrial setting.
The position involves shift work (6:00–2:00, 2:00–10:00, 10:00–6:00), including nights, so flexibility is essential. Immediate start available. Initial training will be on day shifts before moving into the rotation.
Duties include feeding and processing glass fibre materials, operating chopping and agglomeration equipment (mixing plastics with glass fibre), and progressing to extrusion line operation once trained. You will also be expected to support basic machine operation and keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
The role will involve lone working during two shifts, requiring a responsible and disciplined approach, although this will reduce as the business scales and the team grows.
