We are working in partnership with a range of welcoming and forward-thinking schools in and around Bishop Auckland that are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex SEND needs. Work around your existing responsibilities with day to day, short-term and ongoing opportunities available.

The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs
- Support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning
- Implement structured routines and behaviour support strategies
- Assist with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and safety
- Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals
- Contribute to a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- Understanding of behaviour, communication, and sensory needs

- Willingness to support personal care needs
- Strong teamwork and communication skills

- Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3)
