Telehandler Operator
Location: Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland

About the Role
Rockcastle is currently recruiting for an experienced Telehandler Operator to join our team in Newtownabbey. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting site operations by safely operating telehandler and forklift equipment, moving materials around site, and assisting site teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate telehandler and forklift machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with workplace requirements and manufacturer guidelines.
- Assess the effects of loads, unload, transport, and position materials around the workplace.
- Assist with deliveries and storage of materials.
- Carry out daily machine checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all lifting and moving operations are completed safely.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures and site regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Requirements
- Valid Telehandler certification.
- Previous experience operating telehandlers on construction or industrial sites.
- Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High Level of attention to detail
- Good Communication Skills
- Forklift License
Desirable
- CSR Card
- Full UK driving licence
- Additional plant or lifting-related certifications.
