Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Water Leakage Technician to join our expanding team.
The Role
As a Water Leakage Technician, you will be responsible for locating, diagnosing, and repairing water leaks across a variety of domestic, commercial, projects. This is a hands-on role requiring a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect and diagnose water leakage issues using specialist leak detection equipment.
- Excavate and expose underground pipework using excavators and other plant machinery.
- Carry out repairs and reinstatement works to water mains and service pipes.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
- Liaise with customers and colleagues to ensure works are completed efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and site conditions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with emergency call-outs and reactive maintenance when required.
Requirements
- Experience operating excavators and associated plant machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Previous experience in water leakage detection or utility maintenance.
- Plumbing or drainage industry experience.
- Moiling exprience
- Streetworks (NRSWA) certification.
- CPCS or NPORS plant operator certification.
