We currently have a vacancy for one for full time Pre-School Practitioner at Sticky Fingers Pre-school - Newlands, in our baby area. This position will be to start in September 2026.
Applicants MUST HAVE a recognised Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years with experience of working in a childcare or early years setting, with or be willing to gain a paediatric first aid training certificate.
Part time Hours - 35 hours a week
- Monday - 8:15 - 15:45
- Tuesday - 8:15 - 15:45
- Wednesday - 8:15 - 15:45
- Thursday - 8:15 - 15:45
- Friday - 8:15 - 15:45
Salary - £21,410.19 per year (This reflects the actual salary not a FTE).
It is important that the successful person enjoys teaching the children in a fun learning environment. You will also be able to use your skills and ability to positively influence and motivate other adults and children.
Appointment is subject to references and an enhanced DBS check with barred list.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide nurturing care and support to children in a nursery setting, fostering their emotional and social development.
- Implement early childhood education programs that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative environment.
- Maintain a safe and engaging learning space, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Observe and assess children's progress, adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
- Collaborate with management to uphold educational standards and improve practices.
