Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities on the production line to meet quality and efficiency goals
- Lead, motivate, and train team members to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures
- Monitor food safety practices in compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards to prevent contamination
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, performing basic mechanical troubleshooting as needed
- Ensure accurate documentation of production records, including batch tracking and quality checks
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain high standards of food safety and product integrity
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and implementing solutions
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production or manufacturing environments with a focus on food safety practices
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends or overtime as needed
