Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 General haulage/Automotive drivers to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations.
- Operate a Class 1 curtain sider lorry in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-journey safety checks on the vehicle and associated equipment
- Deliver palletised goods to designated locations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring safe handling practices
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a maximum of 6 points
- Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly in delivery roles
- Good knowledge of current driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
INDDRIVE
£16 an hour days and £17 an hour nights– AD HOC
£17.93 days and £19.05 nights with holiday pay included (optional)
Pay: £16.00-£22.81 per hour
