Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a talented Mid shift Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis on our Mid shift, working Monday to Friday, 1500 – 2300. This is a growth role to support and cover the Supervisor when away for the business and is for our contract based in Gloucester.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:

Overall responsibility for the management of customer stock from receipt to final last mile delivery for all customers.

Working with the Senior Operations Manager on operational costs, achieving budget whilst identifying and then delivering cost reduction within the site.

Develop and manage site KPI’s in line customer SLA.

Manage and coordinate all trunking activities during the mid-shift, ensuring adherence to schedules and service level agreements

Monitor vehicle departures, arrivals, and route performance to ensure on-time delivery.

Respond to and resolve operational disruptions (delays, breakdowns, staffing shortages).

Ensure efficient use of fleet assets and monitor driver hours

Provide leadership and direction to the team, managing the team at your site.

Motivate, coach, and develop a high performing Hub team.

Proactively plan and engage with other departments to ensure a collaborative approach and effective resolution of issues.

Be the point of contact for the Site/ and or Customer on your shift.

Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Create and drive a culture of continuous improvement and lead process improvement activities.

Manage resources to maximise service and efficiencies.

Investigate all system and stock issues.

Manage missing reports.

Manage damage reports.
-
Lead external suppliers / Subcon relationships and KPI’s via agreed review processes

Full responsibility for all Health, Safety, Security and Environmental procedures, ensuring that they are always followed challenging non-conformance.
