Duties

- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment conducive to early learning.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues as necessary.
- Support children's emotional well-being by offering comfort and encouragement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and updating child profiles.
- Uphold health and safety regulations in accordance with nursery policies.
- Contribute to the organisation of nursery events and activities that enhance children's development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).
- Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.
