Checkwells is a leading residential property inventory company operating across Greater London. We provide professional inventory reports, check-ins, check-outs and mid-term inspections for letting agents, property managers and landlords.
We are growing our team and are looking for experienced property professionals who are reliable, highly organised and confident dealing with agents, landlords and tenants.
The Role
You will conduct residential property inspections throughout London and produce clear, accurate and detailed reports supported by photographs and written observations.
This is an independent, field-based role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong time management and consistently professional conduct. You will represent Checkwells while working inside clients’ and tenants’ homes, so being polite, presentable and respectful is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inventories, check-ins, check-outs and mid-term inspections
- Produce accurate reports with clear written descriptions and photographs
- Record property condition, cleanliness, contents, meter readings and keys
- Compare properties against previous inventory reports where applicable
- Communicate professionally with agents, landlords, tenants and concierge teams
- Attend appointments punctually and manage the working day effectively
- Collect and return keys safely and in accordance with instructions
- Complete and submit reports within the required timeframe
- Follow Checkwells’ reporting standards and quality-control procedures
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Previous experience in residential property management, lettings or a closely related property role
- Practical experience completing property inventories, check-ins or check-outs
- A polite, confident and professional manner
- Strong written English and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage appointments independently and work reliably
- Availability during office hours on selected weekdays
- Valid Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance
- FB keys, gas meter keys and a T-bar
- A suitable smartphone or tablet for completing inspections
- The ability to travel between appointments across London
Appointment will be subject to:
- A satisfactory DBS check
- Satisfactory references from former employers
Preferred Experience
We would particularly like to hear from candidates who:
- Have previously worked as an Inventory Clerk or Property Inspector
- Have experience using the Inventory Base app
- Understand professional inventory-reporting standards
- Are comfortable travelling and working across Greater London
- Have experience dealing directly with tenants, landlords and letting agents
