Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Night Senior Care Assistant to join our compassionate care team. This vital role involves supervising and supporting care staff during the night shift, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of care in a safe and comfortable environment. As a key leader within the care home, you will oversee night-time routines, manage care plans, and promote a warm, respectful atmosphere for all residents. Your leadership will help create a nurturing space where residents feel valued and secure throughout the night. Due to the remote location a driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.
Duties
- Supervise and support care staff during night shifts, ensuring smooth delivery of care services
- Oversee and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing through regular checks, responding promptly to any concerns or emergencies
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and resident progress in compliance with regulatory standards
- Lead by example in delivering compassionate, person-centered care while fostering teamwork and staff development
- Ensure safety protocols are followed rigorously, including fire safety and infection control procedures
- Communicate effectively with day staff during handovers to ensure continuity of care and resident safety
Skills
- Proven supervisory experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with residents, families, and colleagues
- Ability to develop, review, and update care plans accurately using IT systems
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation needs or emergency purposes
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations in a care environment
- Competent in using IT tools for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
