We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Employability Tutor to join our Adult and Community Education team, supporting adult learners to develop the skills, confidence and knowledge they need to move towards employment, further education or training.
You will deliver high-quality, face-to-face employability courses in community venues and other appropriate locations across Hampshire. The role will include delivery on both weekdays and Saturdays, providing flexible learning opportunities that meet the needs of adult learners.
You will work closely with learners to understand their individual goals, strengths and barriers to employment, helping them develop practical skills and confidence for the workplace. This may include supporting learners with job searching, CVs and applications, interview preparation, communication skills, workplace behaviours, career planning and progression.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about adult education and committed to helping learners achieve their goals. You will be an engaging, patient and supportive tutor who can create a positive learning environment and build strong relationships with learners from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
To succeed in this role, you will have experience of teaching or delivering employability provision to adults and a good understanding of the current employment market and recruitment processes. You will be confident supporting learners who may have low confidence, have been unemployed or face barriers to entering or progressing in employment. You will also need to be flexible and available to deliver sessions on Saturdays as well as weekdays.
Salary: Casual claim, £28.97p/h + £3.50ph holiday allowance

Delivering learning across a range of employability topics, which may include job searching, CV writing, completing application forms, interview preparation, communication skills, workplace behaviours, digital skills and career planning.
Supporting learners to identify their individual strengths, skills, experience and career goals and develop realistic progression plans.
Experience of teaching or delivering employability provision to adults.
A strong commitment to supporting adult learners and helping them achieve their employment and progression goals.
Knowledge of job searching, CV writing, applications, interview preparation and workplace skills.
An understanding of the challenges and barriers adults may face when seeking employment.
The ability to engage and motivate learners with a wide range of abilities, backgrounds and experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with learners.
